French Georgian 3.50 Ctw. Old Mine Cut Diamond ‘Poissarde’ Half Hoop Earrings composed of 18k yellow gold and silver. Featuring 14 Old Mine Cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.50 carats in total. Diamonds are set within collet-style mountings that are semi open-backed for ease of cleaning. This style of earring is called ‘Poissarde’ and is reminiscent of a fish hook. Earrings measure approximately 1 1/8″ tall by 5 mm wide. Hallmarked with a ram’s head for French origin, with a French maker’s mark. Circa 1800.

These earrings open at the front, and are worn by pushing the top gold earring back “hook” through the back of your ear piercing and hooking it into the small loop at the front top of the earring (please refer to the second half of the video for a quick tutorial).
