Victorian era Emerald, Spinel, & Diamond Turtle Pendant Necklace composed of 18k yellow gold, on a 14k yellow gold chain. With an estimated 0.75 carat Oval Cut emerald at the center, and 8 others set into the legs and head of the turtle that weigh approximately 0.25 carats carats in total. This piece also has 8 Oval Cut red spinel that weigh approximately 2.40 carats in total. With 16 Old Mine Cut diamonds surrounding the other natural gemstones, estimated to weigh 2.50 carats in total. The turtle pendant measures approximately 1 1/4″ tall by7/8″ wide; weighs 5.88 grams. Circa 1900.
