French Victorian era 10.50 Ctw. Sapphire & Diamond Horseshoe Pendant Gold Chain Necklace, composed mainly of 18k gold. With 23 Cushion Cut Natural blue sapphires weighing approximately 10.50 carats in total, PGS certified to have No Heat treatment, Cambodian origin. The horseshoe pendant is also set with 25 Old Mine Cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.90 carats in total, estimated to have E-F colors and VS1-I2 clarities. The diamonds are set into silver, the horseshoe pendant is made of 18k gold, and the bale is 14k gold. The pendant measures approximately 1.5″ tall by 1.5″ wide; weighs 11.3 grams. Hallmarked for French origin. Circa 1890.
The horseshoe pendant comes on an English Victorian era 9k gold fancy bar-link gold chain necklace, with a fixed 1″ long t-bar at the center and a dog-clip clasp. The chain measures approximately 19″ long and 2.4 mm wide; weighs 19.1 grams. Circa 1900.
