Description
Victorian era Diamond Bird and Crescent Moon Pendant on a Victorian Gold Chain composed of 14k yellow gold and silver. The bird and crescent component can also be worn as a brooch and is set with 134 diamonds, a combination of Old Mine Cut and Rose Cut diamonds, weighing approximately 3.18 carats in total. The pendant has a silver top, 14k gold back. The bird + crescent measures approximately 1 3/4″ wide by 1 1/8″ tall and weighs 17.5 grams in total. Circa 1880.
The bird can be removed from the crescent moon by unscrewing pieces from the back of the pendant/brooch (see photos).
The pendant comes with a Victorian-era 14k yellow gold textured curb link chain that weighs 6.2 grams, and measures approximately 17.75″ long and 3.66 mm wide. With a round O-ring style clasp. Circa 1900.
